Do children need to be accompanied?

We ask that an adult is present on site whilst children are participating.

Qualified instructors are on the course, however, all 8-10 years must be accompanied on the High Ropes Course by a competent adult.

How many people are on the course at one time?

We can accommodate 24 people on the High Ropes, and 12 on the Low Ropes.

What time do I need to arrive for my session?

Sessions start promptly, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your booked time.

For speedy admission, please complete the online acknowledgement of risk form when booking online and show us when you arrive our reception.

How long will my session last?

Time taken varies according to the activity participation of the individual. As a guideline, to complete all five elements, you should allow in the region of 2 hours.

I’ve booked online and I can’t make it – can I get a refund?

Once bookings are complete, they are non-refundable, however we may be able to accommodate you on an alternative date/time subject to availability and reasonable notice.

Is food/drink available?

A restaurant is located in the Farm nearby our Ropes Course, and there are other small shops and kiosks to purchase food and drink and snacks in the Sandwell Valley Park.

What do I need to wear?
  • Closed toes, sturdy footwear.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather, but please, no strappy tops.
  • No jewellery.
  • Long hair must be completely tied back and there should be nothing in your pockets.

We can look after valuables whilst you are on the course if required.

What happens in bad weather?

The course operates in all weather conditions, including rain, so please dress appropriately.

If thunder rolls in, or lightning strikes, the ropes course and activities will be temporarily suspended for 30 minutes. If there is thunder or lightning during the suspended period, the countdown starts over for everyone’s safety.

These measures are for the safety of the team and guests through recommendations from our governing authorities.

Should we not run, do not worry, we will accommodate you on an alternative date/time.

 

What happens if I don’t want to continue?

Qualified instructors are brought in to be on hand and support in these cases when encouragement is needed. Once you are equipped up and we are ready to go, all tickets are non-refundable. You Can Do This!

How am I connected to the course?

A qualified instructor will connect you to a continuous belay system (once you are clipped on, you cannot disconnect without the aid of an instructor) – and you remain attached for the duration of the course.

How fit do I need to be?

The Low ropes course is suitable for the majority (subject to meeting the health and safety requirements).

The High Ropes course is a challenging course and requires a reasonable standard of fitness.

Some people use our climbing course and activities as their opportunity to burn energy in a fun and safe environment.

Is the course accessible?

There are limitations, access to the course itself is not accessible for wheelchairs. Disabled parking is available.

We can discuss individual needs confidently prior to visit if you wish.

Are there toilets?

Yes, there are public toilets in Sandwell Valley Park (including disabled).

Is there parking?

Yes, there is ample parking. A small parking charge applies between 9.00am and 6.00pm in the summer. Payment can be made in cash at the machine, or alternatively you can pay-by phone.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome in Sandwell Valley Park. Whilst unfortunately, we cannot allow them in the confines of the ropes course, you can view from close proximity.
